The application phase for the 2025/26 academic year is fast approaching! The coaching team is looking ahead with excitement to a new season and encourages everyone with an interest in the moot to get informed.

Do you have questions on what it is like to participate in a moot court? Do you want to hear first-hand experience reports? Are you interested what a pleading in the Vis is like?
Come to our information event and show pleading (4 June 2025, 6:00–8:00pm, SEM20) to find out! Prior registration is not necessary.
Application Process
Applicant Profile
- Diploma degree, BA/MA International Legal Studies, or doctoral students
- Completion of the Einführungsabschnitt (diploma degree) or the module examinations on Roman Law and Legal History (BA International Legal Studies)
- Good knowledge of English (prior exposure to Legal English is not required!)
Exchange students who will be spending both semesters of the 2025/26 academic year in Vienna are also encouraged to apply.

Applications can be submitted from 5 June to 13 July 2025, by email, to vismoot.zvr@univie.ac.at. The following application materials should be submitted:
- Current transcript of records (Sammelzeugnis)
- Current CV
What are the further steps?
Based on your application, we will be holding selection interviews in Vienna during the last week of July. We kindly ask you to consider this date in your plans. Should you not be in Vienna during this time, interviews can be held online.
It is expected that we will make our decision on team selection in early August.
