Aim and content of the course

Participation in the Willem C. Vis Commercial Arbitration Moot Court as part of the team of the University of Vienna.

The participation fosters the study of international commercial law and the CISG through its application to a fictitious case. In the course of the Moot Court, participants are required to write two memoranda – one for the claimant, one for the respondent of the case - and prepare the pleading for the final, taking place in Vienna between 01.04. bis 06.04.2023.

Assessment criteria

Preparation of the oral pleadings; participation in various Pre-Moots.

The students will be graded based on their participation in the oral phase of the Moot Court. There will be no further examination.
